About Us

About Darling Daughters

Darling Daughters Home Care and Disability Services supports people to live with dignity, confidence, and independence. We provide compassionate personalised aged care and disability support for individuals and families across Melbourne and Geelong. As a registered NDIS and Home Care provider, we focus on what matters most which is trust, safety, and support that fits your life.

Why we started Darling Daughters

We know care works best when it feels consistent, when communication is clear and when you can trust the person walking through your door. Darling Daughters was founded to raise the standard in home-based care, where compassion and quality should always go together.

Our team is here to make support feel easier to organise, easier to understand, and easier to rely on. Our services are tailored, respectful, and designed to empower everyone we work with, whether you’re using NDIS funding, Support at Home funding, or privately funded.

Meet our Founder: Rhea Dhir

Rhea Dhir is the Founder and Director of Darling Daughters, and a passionate advocate for client-centred care. Her leadership is grounded in high standards, genuine compassion, and a belief that people deserve support that protects dignity and builds independence.

Rhea’s vision extends beyond service delivery. She has shaped a workplace culture that values caregivers, strengthens teams, and prioritises the wellbeing of the people providing day-to-day support.

Rhea is also a strong advocate for women’s empowerment in caregiving and healthcare. Darling Daughters actively fosters a supportive environment for women to grow their careers, step into leadership, and feel recognised for the skill and impact they bring to care. This commitment has been reflected through initiatives such as the Darling Daughters International Women’s Day event, celebrating women in caregiving and leadership roles.

Our team and how we work

Our dedicated support workers and care professionals take pride in doing things properly. What you can expect when you work with Darling Daughters:

The meaning behind the name: Darling Daughters

The name “Darling Daughters” is deeply personal. It’s a tribute to Rhea’s two daughters and the love, responsibility, and protective care that family represents. That meaning carries into the way we support our clients. We believe care should feel human and respectful, not transactional.

People are not just a number to us. They are individuals, with their own aspirations, preferences, culture, and goals.

The name also reflects our commitment to empowering women in the workplace. It’s a reminder of the crucial role women play across caregiving and community support, and our responsibility to create a place where people can thrive, be supported, and be proud of the work they do.

Our Values

We keep our values simple, because they need to show up in real moments.

Compassion is where we listen carefully, respond respectfully, and provide support with patience and warmth, especially during times of change, stress, or uncertainty.

Whether that’s building confidence to get out into the community, supporting a return to routines after a hospital stay, or helping someone feel more in control at home, our role is to encourage progress, autonomy, and hope.

Respect shapes everything including the way we speak and the way we honour preferences, privacy, culture, and boundaries. It also guides how we work as a team, because safe, consistent care starts with people who feel valued and supported.
